Purchase Events Not Triggering When Using COD App
Answer
This usually happens because some Cash on Delivery (COD) apps use a custom checkout flow that redirects customers to a custom status or confirmation page instead of the Shopify Thank You page.
Our app tracks the Purchase event from Shopify’s default Thank You page. If the COD app redirects customers to a different page, the purchase event may not trigger.
How to Fix This
Please check the following:
- Open the EasySell COD Form app settings.
- Check how the order confirmation or success page is configured.
- Make sure customers are redirected to the Shopify Thank You page after completing the order.
If the checkout flow bypasses the Shopify Thank You page, the purchase event will not be tracked correctly.
Recommendation
Ensure that the COD app is configured to redirect users to the Shopify Thank You page after order submission. This allows the purchase event to fire correctly.

Will Adding Base Code Manually Conflict With Pixee?
If you have already added your Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or Pinterest Tag inside Pixee app, you do not need to add the base code manually to your Shopify theme.
Pixee app automatically adds the required base code using Shopify’s Theme App Embed feature.
You only need to make sure that:
- The pixel is added inside the Pixee app
- The Pixee app is activated in your store
Important Note
If you manually add the same platform’s base code directly to your theme while also using Pixee, it may cause:
- Duplicate tracking
- Duplicate events
- Incorrect reporting
- Conflicting event data
So if the pixel is already connected through Pixee, do not add the same base code manually again.
Supported Platforms
This applies to pixels/tags added in Pixee for:
- Facebook Pixel
- TikTok Pixel
- Pinterest Tag
Customers may also ask
- For these platforms, Pixee handles the base code automatically.
- If I add the pixel base code manually, will it conflict with Pixee?
- Do I still need to add the pixel base code to my theme if I’m using Pixee?

- I already connected my pixel in Pixee — should I also add the base code manually?
